The bike speeds up a lot, more security on descent and more fun on plan paths. It gives an overall increase of control sensation of the bike.
It Needs a shimano special key to unmount the old pack and to mount the new one.
For me it's one of best solution for who wants to get more from its hoptown without spending too much
