- The Millenium 4 sole with carbon composite materials, carbon fiber injected in a nylon matrix, to provide more rigidity than a standard nylon sole.
- The Soft instep closure system is a wide, anatomically curved strap combined with a soft, thermo-formed EVA pad that distributes pressure evenly over the instep area. The Soft instep closure system is adjustable from both sides, to perfectly center the EVA pad over a high or low instep. The system eliminates the need for the High Instep Extender. I've used SPD shoes before but on MTB. This is my first pair of road SPD shoes and I can say they are very comfy in terms of fitting the foot shape.
Also there is a definitely more power transfer to the pedal with SPD SL comparing to SPD.
The sole is very stiff which contributes to power transfer and shoe firmly fixed in place.
The only thing is that the interior base is very thin and harsh and if you walk few meters you can feel the ground knocks.
I would recommend it to anyone who want to have an eye catcher shoe.
